My new book, Whose Kids Are These Anyway? (Penguin Putnam) arrived in bookstores May 6, 2003. It's a humorous look at parenting based on my syndicated column The Family Man.
Publisher's Weekly said: The book showcases Swarner's easy style and comic timing, as he deals with everything from listening patiently to his kids' knock-knock jokes to participating in the family hike from hell. Swarner honed his observational skills while writing his syndicated column, The Family Man, and it shows: he has a knack for finding humor in any parental situation.
Whose Kids Are These Anyway? is the common parent's coping strategy. A laugh-out loud trip through my life as I ask for paternity leave, build a homework jail, and sells fundraisers to frustrated family and friends. It will have readers feeling better about their own situations in minutes!
