I highly recommend "No Choice But Freedom" ISBN 1932158766 a tale of treachery and triumph in c1750 England and Colonial America. This is no "bodice-ripper" story but fast-paced, well-written novel that encompasses life in the mid 18th century in both England and the British Colonies - without going into excessive sex or violence. It's one GREAT read. I couldn't put the book down! |

I wanted to let everyone know a Literary Festival in Hamilton the weekend of Nov.4-7, 2004. We have Pierre Berton, Nino Ricci, Paul Quarrington, Donna Morrissey, and Greg Hollingshead to name just a few of the writers who will be giving readings and featured in question/answer sessions. Live music and art displays are some of the other features available to enjoy during these events. Our organization is called gritLIT, Hamilton Writers Festival, and we plan to make this a yearly event. If you would like I would be happy to forward a brochure to you to share with members of your Book Club, or visit us at www.gritlit.ca to learn more about us and the 2004 festival Please don't hesitate to email me should you be interested in more info. With thanks, |
