A classic Canadian series that won three Leacock Medals for humour, and was produced as a CBC radio play. The Bandy Papers is about First World War air ace Bartholomew Bandy, whose disregard for authority lands him in endless trouble. The first two volumes, Three Cheers For Me and That's Me in the Middle are both still in print, and the ninth volume, set in WW2, Stalin Versus Me, has just been published. The middle volumes are all pretty easy to find second hand. There's a website about the series at: http://www.sybertooth.com/bandy/
