"Hi - Thought I'd pass this info along as it may interest some of you. I recently heard a story on NPR about the "Songs Inspired By Literature Project- Chapter One". - It's a benefit CD to support adult literacy that features songs inspired by books. Good songwriters are on-board like Bruce Springsteen, Suzanne Vega, Aimee Mann -- I bought it, I love it! It also gave me some reading ideas -like "Motherless Brooklyn" and "Sister Carrie" There's great nonprofit org behind it, producing it, run by one sole woman writer. She runs a song contest too - for each new chapter. Check out their site siblproject .org. I bought my CD right from there. Hope you find it to be as inspiring as it was to me.
