    Hello fellow book lovers!

I’m from The Word On The Street Toronto, and we are Toronto’s book and magazine festival. We are a non-profit organization that celebrates Canadian reading and writing, and champions literacy, primarily through a free, annual, outdoor festival. Every year, we invite the public to participate in hundreds of author events, presentations and workshops. This year some of our scheduled authors include Yann Martel, Richard B. Wright, Kenneth Oppel and Alissa York. We also have a marketplace with over 250 exhibitors bringing you the latest in Canadian Books and Magazines. This year’s festival takes place on Sunday, Sept. 26 at Queen’s Park in Toronto.

A unique component to our festival is the ability to adopt one of our authors. We have such amazing authors appearing at the festival this year and almost all of them are waiting for you to adopt them! On our website (www.thewordonthestreet.ca/wots/toronto/adopt) is a list of available authors for adoption. For a contribution of $100, one of these authors could be yours! This donation goes towards the support of the festival to keep it coming back bigger and better each year! In return for your generosity, you would receive a free, signed copy of your authors book, a chance to the first person to meet and greet with your author at the festival, a tax receipt for your charitable contribution, and recognition on our website!

If you are interested in supporting The Word On The Street or one of Canada’s literary stars, email me at specialprojects@thewordonthestreet.ca.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you all soon!
