We Don't Bake Muffins Book Club

Newfoundland and Labrador Book Clubs

We Don't Bake Muffins Book Club was established in 2007 in St. John’s Newfoundland with just 4 members. Today we have 12-15 members and meet every month for very lively discussions (sometimes debates!) on that month’s book. The book club meetings are held in a different home each month and the book is chosen by the person hosting the meeting. No book is off limits, although we do try to ensure that it is less than $15 or available through the library for free. We have read fiction, (auto)biographies, classics, self-improvement, Newfoundlandia, etc.

Our book club has the most interesting and diverse members. Each person has unique experiences and background to bring to the group. Some of us knew each other previously and some were strangers when they attended the first meeting. We are all now very good friends and have the best book club meetings… lots of food, wine and above all laughter. It truly is an amazing group of people.
